Page Engineering machines all parts of the wheels and assembles them before they are sent for painting.  They are finished with extruded rubber tyres. This is the front wheel of a Compound Traction Engine, as shown by the 12 spokes.  The single cylinder has 10 spokes.
 

The rear wheel hub has the traditional wording "CHARLES BURRELL AND SONS Ltd, ENGINEERS,THETFORD, ENGLAND embossed on it.
This customer requested that the wording be picked out as shown.  We endeavour to meet all our customers' specific requests whilst respecting the traditional design of the product.
 This wheel is not attached to the axle here but would be fitted with steel pins and clips.

On these front wheels for the single cylinder Agricultural Engine the spokes are traditionally joined to alternate sides of the rim.
